Direct Support Professional (DSP)

At Empowered Living SLS Inc., we are seeking detail-oriented, energetic, enthusiastic, organized, and committed individuals looking to support individuals through empowerment, choice, self-direction, independence, and access to generic resources. We want the individuals we support to access opportunities in the community based on their choices, and we empower them to discuss their journey and goals with us to allow Empowered Living SLS to be a part of that journey.

Compensation & Benefits
- $19.50 – $25.00/hour
- Some individuals you support may receive In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS); you will sign up for this resource depending on position and location

Projected Shifts
- Weekends
- Morning shifts: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Evening shifts: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Overnight shifts: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
Please note there is some variability in shifts, as shifts are based on the needs of the people we serve, their lives, activities, and choices.
Empowered Living SLS Inc. provides custom, tailored support throughout Solano and Napa Counties. The people we support have personalized hours of support specific to their Individual Service Plan (ISP). You may apply for a position as a DSP supporting the following areas we serve: Vacaville, Dixon, Fairfield/Suisun City, and Napa. It is Empowered Living SLS’s policy that all Direct Support Professionals work no less than 8 hours weekly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of auto insurance
- Vehicle registration
- Clean DMV record
- Vehicle inspection
- Preferred: background in mental health and behavioral health, RBT, CNA, and/or HHA
- Understanding of working with individuals with complex trauma and behavioral needs
- Understanding of the Philosophy of Supported Living and the 5 Principles of SLS
